To start, i inherited a headache from someone else and not entirely sure what was done but when I got it, the crank pulley bolt was snapped off in snout. I got it out, hole tapped, timing set back on, etc. Vehicle does not want to start, almost like firing order is off or something. We have confirmed TDC and firing order (sorry, i don't know much about distributor vehicles, Im an LS guy). Everyone tells me the timing is adjusted correctly. When it DOES fire, it barely runs. It can move under it's own power but barely. IT has had multiple cap/rotors (I know these things are a crap shoot new) and recently tuned up. I swapped out the spider assembly already but it is acting the exact same.. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

did you use A/C Delco parts when you tuned it up? if not this will be part if not most of your problem, Also are you getting any engine codes?

 

I did. multiple misfire if I recall (havent messed with it in months but now i want the garage space)

 

I would try a fuel leak down test first, fuel pumps can cause a lot of different probs. Post up results and if check engine light is on post codes if you have any.

 

multi misfire codes are the place to start, most always has to do with plugs,wires distributer cap or rotor post your codes so we can better help you
