Default 4x4, 4.3L to ls1 5.3 need assistance

Ok so I got this ls motor and im in the process of pulling the 4.3 and I was wondering will the brackets for a standard 4.3L 4x4 to SBC conversion kit work with a 5.3L. I've been searching all over the web to find some brackets or any any one who has even done it before and theres nada, nothing, zilch. Theres alot of ls1 in 2wd S10's but I just cant seem to find anything for the 4wd guys out there

You either have to get them custom made, or trust someone enough to do a good job of welding an extra 1 - 2" or so on the front of each 2wd mount, and putting the slots in to make it a 4x4 mount...

And also, the oil pan is probably going to be a PITA.

I HAVE A 96 ZR2 4X4 BLAZER WITH A 350 VORTEC. THERE'S MOUNTS THAT MADE JUST FOR SWAPS FOR V8'S. I PAID LIKE 60 DOLLARS FOR THEM. AND MY MOTOR WENT IN WITH NO PROBLEMS. I GUESS IF U SEEN A GUY WITH THE MOTOT U GOT IN A S-10 U CAN PUT IT IN THE 4X4. THE ONLY PROBLEM I'M HAVING IS THAT I HAVE A 700R4 TRANS AND NEED A CROSSMEMBER FOR IT. THE FACTORY 4L80 CROSSMEMBER DON'T WORK SO I DON'T KNOW IF I HAVE TO GET ONE MADE OR JUST GET IT FROM ANOTHER TRUCK BUT THAT'S THE LEASE OF MY PROBLEMS.

You found 4x4 mounts + oil pan? you get a shop to do it custom, or found a place online for it?

Okay the place you want to go is current performance wiring the guy that ownes it his name is jared and he specializes in that motor in being swaped into an S10 he builds custom wiring harnesses can do all the tuning so that its plug and play. He also has swap mounts, shorty headers, just recently started making longtube swap headers for it and has a bad *** radiator set up if you want to go that far its a dual core dual pass 3" aluminum radiator with the radiator hoses both on the passenger side for that motor and the oil pan you can go with an LS2 oil pan from GM it ran 394 with the pick up tube but you still need the dip stick and dip stick tube you also need the windage tray which will still only run about $450 from your local dealership. I'm in the middle of doing this very swap but i've been at it for a good year but thats due to the learning curve and my OCD to have it perfect.

Great site for the wiring harness! Unfortunately, doesn't really carry anything for a 4x4 swap, lol.
