resetting overhead console temp readout

Default resetting overhead console temp readout

can someone help me out. i have a 2001 ,trying to reset the temp readout. i hold the two buttons on the left of the readout until the screens reads var. what do i do next······

Nothing. You cannot reset the temperature readout. It is a constant real-time reading.
Go to http://www.mygmlink.com, register your truck, and you can either view an online copy of the owner's manual or order a copy of it.

Does the rest of the driver information center work normally? Do you have the full trip computer (MPG, etc) or just compass and temp?

Also, what was the temp sensor doing prompting you to try to reset it?

Yah the only way to reset the temp if you want to for some reason is disconnect the battery so it loses it memory.
