Default RDO/ BATT Fuse short even when car is off...

Could anyone know what is causing it? ... Fuse blows as soon as I put one in even when the car is off.

My Instrument panel is not working as well as my radio. So far, If I unplug both from the harness, the short goes away. But, If I plug either of them back in, I have a short. I found that there is an orange wire that splits from the fuse box where the rdo/batt fuse is and goes to the Instrument Panel and the Radio. Both have the same volts going through them when i put a fuse in with everything disconnected, but as soon as i plug either the radio or the instrument panel back in, the volts drop significantly and the fuse blows. (This all happens when the car is off)

Also my battery has been dying because of it i believe since the battery is dead.

I have a 2000 chevy s-10 blazer 4 door. I have an aftermarket alarm put into it as well as a custom in-dash dvd/nav unit with amps and subs in the trunk which was installed over a year ago and I never had any problems with any of the two. But the short is still there even with everything off!!!

Thanks in advance for your help..

p.s. I am new to this site and I already searched and didn't think my post was similar to any of the others except ones that have a battery draw because of the rdo/batt fuse... But I have a short in mine as well so sorry if I did double post.

Are there any wires sticking out?

The last time I blew the RDO fuse was when I was installing a radio in, and the remote power wire touched a ground and blew the fuse.

Make sure its all wired correct, and nothing is sticking out/exposed.
