Default front axles seal

1999 S10 Blazer 2 door auto 4x4.

What tools are required to replace the front lip seal on axle tube. I know how to remove cv axle but what is need to replace the seal. Plastic hammer work to install seal. What tool to remove seal.

Thanks

A screw driver will remove the old seal. If you are good with a hammer, you can install the new one that way. I will typically find a large piece of steel or something else to use for installation. If you have some large sockets (roughly the same diameter as the seal where it presses into the axle tube), they will work good.

Did mine last week. Bought a seal puller for $10, and used a 2x4 and a hammer to install new seal.

Default axle seal.

Thanks.

What do you think about cardone cv axles. Good quality or garbage.

Cardone makes some nice stuff, so they should be fine.

I just installed Cardone cv shafts in my blazer. To me they just looked better than the "made in China" shafts that I just pulled out after only about 17K miles. My vibration in the front end seems to have gone away as well.
