I have this fluid in my 92 Mustang and it has 153,000 miles on it and it will still smoke the tires off the car. I use all Lucas products in my mustang but thats because I use to run it hard (its in the process of being sanded now). If your tranny is already shifting hard than you can try some but it is really thick, so keep that in mind, it may help and it may not, all vehicles are different and it all depends on the shape of the tranny. If they are not shifting hard than I wouldnt use it and I would only use the fluid that it calls for.
As far as the oil, they show the lucas products in the store (room temp.) and show how the oil sticks to the gears better, thats because its cold. You put it in and its as thick as honey but when you drain it out it is regular oil. This could be the same for tranny fluid, not sure, I have never drained any out.
Good luck, and dont over fill the tranny if you decide to use some.

I put this in my 94 blazer. Tranny was shifting late and acting funny. Put some Lucas in it and fixed it. Make sure if you use it to take out a quart of fluid and replace it with the lucas so you dont overfill your tranny.

how do i take out a quart of fluid out from my tranny? is there a drain plug under the tranny pan? i didnt notice a plug there?

You'll either have to use a pump to pull it out the dripstick tube or drop the pan.
I use Lucas products all the time. They are good products & work in my opinion.

I put this in my 99 blazer and it didnt do a thing. Shifted the exact same. As in one of the above posts it might work it might not.
