2000 Blazer Heater Core
Getting my heater core replace tomorrow and am looking at $660.00 including the part. Does that sound like a fair price my Blazer peeps? Thanks

Doesn't sound too far off. It can be a time consuming process.

Yeah I heard it is. They actually got it back to me fast. In less than two days. Thanks swartlkk!

I know you have already done this, however, I like to hear good things about what I have done. So, if you had gone through a shop that is by the book, it would have cost $956.76. That is at my local tax rate of 7.5%, and includes Shop Fees. So, Good Job.

i did mine myself wasnt that bad, cost me 78 bux for the core and dexcool, just gotta pull the dash. take a lil time but well worth the savings. if u need any tips feel free to ask, unless u already did it, im an auto tech myself and hate to see people have to pay a shop just the way i am.

Not happy with the results
Hey Jim... yes I got it done already, but now my blazer gets hot from the inside, down by my feet. Is that normal or did I punk by the shop I went to? Gonna take it back, because it wasn't like that before I got the heater core changed. ugh...

$660 is exactly what I paid for the heater core and labor on a '98 Blazer one year ago.

I will attempt to attach the pertinent pages from the GM Shop Service Manual for a 2000 Blazer in pdf format. I hope that this will work. I didn't read through the entire thing, so if there's a reference to another section that you want, just ask...
