Ball joint help
So I did a search here and google and came up empty
Does anyone know of a write up on replacing ball joints on a 73-91 k5 blazer? Pics would be cool too.
Thank you
Bill

Quick search for "Dana 44 ball joint replacement" on Google came up with these videos (Dana 44 & GM Corp 10-bolt are nearly identical when it comes to this job so you can lean on the Jeep, Dodge, & even Ford pages as well):
How-To replace Dana 30 and 44 Ball Joints part 1 of 3 (removal with cheap press) - YouTube
How-To replace Dana 30 and 44 Ball Joints part 2 of 3 (press in ball joints with cheap press) - YouTube
How-To replace Dana 30 and 44 Ball Joints part 3 of 3 (steering knuckle installation, preload) - YouTube
Those vidoes don't really show the disassembly, but there are a LOT of sites that show this either through pictures w/ captions or video.
THIS PAGE is the best I could find quickly showing the whole tear down

That was quick. Thanks. But I guess I need a tear down video. I have done many ball joints, just never on a solid axle with locking hubs. I am not sure how that all comes apart.

Take a look at the link I provided at the bottom. It's not a video, but has good pictures.

Well at this point the Blazer I was looking at that would have needed ball joints was far to rusted for me to purchase. But I am sure this info will help me in the future, as well as others. Thank you.
Here is a pic of it. Too bad too. It ran perfect.
